Alex obtained her master's degree in Sociology in May 2003. At her last year of studies she became interested in the art of jewelry making. The opportunity came along when her friend invited her over to her jewelry studio to experience how jewelry pieces are created.
She started assisting silversmith in her studio and quickly became enamored with jewelry making. She then decided to continue her education in that field. After moving to United States she took a class of jewelry making at the School of Museum of Fine Arts followed by 2-year full-time diploma program at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, MA. She graduated from their Jewelry Making and Repair program in February 2010. While in school she worked for Alan Leavitt Jewelers in Boston where she had an opportunity to discover the secrets of creating jewelry castings.
As an artist and professional jeweler she enjoys process of creation from the design stage all the way through to the final product. She describes working on jewelry pieces as extremely satisfying, enjoying and true journey experience with a very rewarding results.
